Jim Daubersmith Joins Advanced American Construction

Oregon City, OR � Jim Daubersmith, P.E., has joined the marine construction company, Advanced American Construction (AAC), as a partner, effective September 27, 2004. Prior to joining AAC, Daubersmith was Vice President and Western Division Manager for Balfour Beatty Construction, Inc. in Suisun City, California. �I have known Jim for many years, and we worked together on a project for Kiewit Construction in Northern California ,� says AAC President Dee Burch, �He is an excellent engineer and construction manager.�

Daubersmith, 38, brings over 17 years of professional construction contracting experience in California and Washington to AAC. Balfour Beatty is a large international corporation, whose United States construction company is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Other projects include SAFECO Field in Seattle, WA for Kiewit Construction in Renton, WA, and the West Seattle Pump Station for Venture Construction of Auburn, WA. Jim grew up in Ketchikan, Alaska, and received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Washington State University in Pullman, WA.

�Jim will add a lot of heavy, civil construction expertise and depth to our company, and I look forward to Jim joining our team,� says AAC Vice President and Chief of Operations Mike Johns. AAC is a heavy, civil marine contractor located in Oregon City, OR. Advanced American Diving Service, also in Oregon City, and the M. Cutter Company, an industrial repair company in Vancouver, WA, are subsidiaries of AAC. Recent projects include constructing and laying 4,300 feet of 63-inch, HDPE pipe to convey effluents from the Kimberly-Clark pulp and paper mill and the City of Everett, WA wastewater treatment plant for discharge into Port Gardner Bay, the recovery of the F-18 jets from the Columbia River at Arlington, and the light watercraft dock for the Portland Development Commission. The other partners include Dee Burch, P.E., Mike Johns, Jeff Harper, Grayson Hart, and Tim Nelson.
